The first book we will study will be The Gospel of John.  It is important because it explains that Jesus existed before his creation in the flesh. He is the Word that became flesh.  The second chapter of John teaches us about the first miracle of Jesus and the money changers.

There are 21 Chapters in this book and we will study two chapters a day, except most Saturday’s and all Sunday’s and all holidays for catch up and worship time. Each chapter is about a 45 min study, including bible text, video and interactive quiz.  All resources you need are included except paper and pencil, journal or work sheets, You may need to take notes or print out the lessons (right click on page and click on print).  Then write on the back of the sheets for reviewing from time to time.

It is suggested that you read everything on each lesson’s page and take the quiz (no grade).  If you run out of time, you can listen to the chapters later at your convenience.

The Gospel of John is written by one of Jesus Christ’s disciples, John, the son of Zebedee.  John is described as the “Disciple of Whom Jesus loved”.  It has been determined by biblical scholars that John wrote The Gospel of John (also known as “According to John”) around A.D. 80-90, about 50 years after he witnesses Jesus’ earthly ministry under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and as an eyewitness in composing the gospel. He is not John the Baptist. However, in this book, John the Baptist is discussed.

The Gospel of John explains who Jesus Christ is before creation. It establishes his deity as Creator of the World, The Father (I AM), and is the long-awaited Messiah, the Son of God in the flesh. Its purpose is to explain that even though Jesus is the Creator and God (I AM), believers are to understand that Jesus is the Son of God that came in the flesh and yet while we were sinners, died for our sins and rose again to become Savior of the World-reconnecting us to God (Jesus’ higher self – The Word) .  Remember, God can be in more than one place at one time.  God is omnipotent and benevolent.  The reason we pray to the father in Jesus Christ’s name is to pray under the blood convent in order to have access to the father.

Call to salvation:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
