The Gospel consists of the four books in the New Testament that gives the teachings of Jesus Christ, written by John, Luke, Mark, and Matthew. Apostle Luke, a Gentile and a physician, wrote this Gospel and the Book of Acts. Luke’s work is assumed to be written in AD 60-62 during the time disciple Paul was in jail.
His works were dedicated to Theophilus, a Roman dignitary. Luke gives an ordered account of the events of Jesus’s life but not necessarily in order. His primary research was eyewitnesses, disciples, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Luke gives many accounts of Jesus’s healing ministry because Luke was a physician himself.

Chapter 15: overview of Luke Chapter 15:
Jesus is our savior that rejoices when a sinner sincerely repents and gets saved by announcing Jesus Christ is Lord. See Call to Salvation below. In chapter 15, Jesus tells three parables to explain how one feels when one find something that is lost. Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. In a previous lesson, Jesus stated: Luke 5:32 ” I came not to call the righteous, but sinners unto repentance”
Chapter 16: Overview of Luke Chapter 16:
In chapter sixteen, Jesus tells two parables and reproves the covetous Pharisees on adultery. The first parable demonstrates how we should make friends. The second parable tells of the consequences of living spiritually bankrupt when we are not faithful to God’s laws concerning our riches. Last but not least, Jesus reproves the covetous Pharisees by telling them he knows their hearts. In addition, he tells them divorce can create the sin of adultery.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit. (Get Baptized)
