Christian Poetry: Well Done and The Lord’s Supper
Below are two nice poems in the public domain that I though you would enjoy. The first one tells us to be faithful and obedient in our works for the Lord, following His orders and not our own. The second is a cute short poem about communion.

1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
Be Faithful in Your Works and You will Hear Well Done (Public Domain).
God has called you to be faithful
As you run His worthy race;
Be obedient and be steadfast
Till at last you see His face.
But remember striving child
That this race is not your own;
Tis the work that He desires
In the way that He has shown.
Not by human might nor talent
Can His work on earth be done;
But by love and by His Spirit
You shall miss no target, none.
Read His Word and let His Spirit
To be ruling in your heart;
Then you’ll run with strength and gladness
Or you’ll walk to do your part.
Have consistency and vision
With a passion for His cause;
Be a champion and a servant
Never turn and never pause.
Be not negligent of prayer
This the secret of your power;
Through communing and through trusting
He on you will blessings shower.
Tis a high and holy calling
To be running in His race;
Do not fret and do not tire
Keep your gaze upon His face.
You shall run and not be weary
As you labor without fear;
Till in heaven that glad morning
Come, oh child, “Well done,” you’ll hear.
Your submission and devotion
Down on earth was not in vain;
I prepared for your promotion
With your King now you shall reign.
Then you’ll shout your Hallelujahs
As your trophies to Him bring;
Worthy – Worthy Lamb, Redeemer
For eternity you’ll sing.
Hallelujah, Father, Savior
Hallelujah, Heavenly Dove;
Worthy was on earth my labor
For I’ve reached my goal above.
The Lord’s Supper (Public Domain)
In memory of the Savior’s love,
We keep the sacred feast,
Where every humble, contrite heart
Is made a welcome guest.
By faith we take the Bread of Life
With which our souls are fed,
The Cup in token of His blood
That was for sinners shed.
In faith and memory thus we sing
The wonders of His love,
And thus anticipate by faith
The heavenly feast above.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-109That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-65Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
