Imagine you’re at a picnic with your friends. There are yummy sandwiches, juicy fruits, and refreshing drinks. Everyone’s laughing and sharing, it’s the best! But suddenly, you realize you forgot your lunch! Your tummy starts to rumble, and you feel a little worried. What will you eat?

This is kind of how Jesus’ friends felt one day. They were out in a big field with a huge crowd of people, 5,000 to be exact! Everyone was excited to hear Jesus teach about God’s love, but their stomachs were starting to growl. They were hungry!

Matthew 14:14 “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”

Jesus’ disciples were worried too. They said, “Jesus, these people need food! We should send them away to find something to eat.” But Jesus knew what to do. He told his disciples to gather all the food they could find, even if it was just a few small loaves of bread and some fish. (Matthew 14:15-16)

Now, 5 loaves and 2 fish wouldn’t even feed a small family, let alone thousands of people! But Jesus did something amazing. He took the little food they had, looked up to heaven, and thanked God for it. Then, he started breaking the bread and the fish into smaller pieces. And guess what? The food kept multiplying! He kept breaking and sharing, and there was enough food for everyone! (Matthew 14:17-21)

Everyone ate their fill, and there were even leftovers! It was a miracle! Jesus showed everyone that God is always with us, even when we feel worried or don’t have enough. He takes care of us, just like a loving parent takes care of their child. (Matthew 14:20)

beyond worry

                                             at tag: #beyond worry.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33, KJV) This means that when we focus on loving God and doing what He wants, He takes care of our needs, even the small ones like food for our bellies. He wants us to trust Him, just like the birds trust Him to feed them every day. (Matthew 6:26, KJV)

So, the next time you feel worried about something, remember Jesus and the 5,000 people. Remember that God is bigger than any worry, and He loves you more than you can imagine. He will always be there for you, just like He was there for those hungry people in the field. So seek Him first, and trust that He will take care of the rest.

And remember, even if you forget your lunch, don’t worry! God will always find a way to fill your tummy and your heart with love and abundance. Just trust Him!

(Matthew 6:26). Even the sparrows, seemingly insignificant creatures, are cared for by God. How much more does He care for us, His beloved children?

Seeking God’s kingdom isn’t about a single prayer or moment of devotion. It’s about weaving our lives with His, aligning our desires with His purposes, letting His love be the compass guiding our steps. It’s about trusting that even when circumstances seem bleak, He is working behind the scenes, orchestrating events for our good Romans 8:28.“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

This doesn’t guarantee a life with out challenges. But it does guarantee a life anchored in His love, a love that whispers, “I am enough.” It’s a love that provides not just for our physical needs but also for our emotional, spiritual, and relational needs.

It’s a love that reminds us, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it”.  1 Corinthians 10:13– “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Matthew 5:45 KJV  “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

So let us release the anxieties that bind us, let go of the need to control every outcome, and embrace the open arms of our loving Father. Let us seek His kingdom first, not with clenched fists and desperate pleas, but with open hearts brimming with trust. And as we do, let us watch in awe as He unfolds a life overflowing with the abundance of His love, a love that truly satisfies and sets us free.

Call to Salvation:

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
