Letter From The Editor: Wake Up Everybody No More Sleeping in Bed. PARIS

Revelation 3:16 KJV  “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Hello ePrayer Circle’s Tribe,

Sitting here after morning devotional time with coffee thinking about Paris.  I have never visited Paris but I was still surprised.  The recent events at the 2024 Paris Olympics caused quite a stir when some people accused the entertainment of mocking Jesus Christ.

Many found it demonic and disrespectful, and the Paris government defended it as freedom of religion.

However, the real story was the response from the Christian community. Many Christians in Paris took to the streets to protest, showing their love for God and their dedication to Jesus.

Their actions were a testament to their faith, reminding us of the power of unity in Christ. It showed true believers who have a personal relationship with God being on fire for Jesus. It also demonstrated that Paris has a large active Christian community and it is not overshowed.  Let’s talk about it.

The Bible reminds us of the importance of standing up for our faith. In John 18:36 KJV , Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight…but now is my kingdom not from hence.”

This reminds us that while we live in this world, our eternal home is in God’s kingdom. We are to be on earth as in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10 KJV  Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven

Another scripture, Galatians 6:7 KJV, says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” This means that those who mock God will face consequences from God.

The Christians who protested in Paris were only showing that they would not stand by and allow their faith to be disrespected as any other faith or religion would do.

It was inspiring to see so many believers filling the streets, outnumbering the negative. This event was a powerful example of how Jesus’ followers (believers) can manifest His glory and stand in numbers with power against the anti-christ.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:16 KJV, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” The Christians in Paris did just that.

This situation also highlights a problem we’ve seen before in the United States, like in a past famous football event where the shock entertainment overshadowed the athletes’ hard work.

Many companies spent millions of dollars on commercials and voiced their disappointment. No one remembered the commericals.  It’s a reminder that sometimes, what’s intended to entertain can distract from the true purpose of an event.

The Christians in Paris showed that their faith and respect for God are strong. They stood up for what they believe in, and their actions were a light in a dark situation. Let’s all strive to be on fire for God, ready to stand up for our faith. One day, we hope to hear, “Well done, my good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

eprayer:

Heavenly Father,

Help us to  level up on our faith by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in prayer and repentence.

Guiding us in studying the Bible, praising You, and praying more now than ever.

We ask that the Holy Spirit gives us the gift of an unshakeable faith.

We come to You on our knees, asking for Your protection against the enemies of God for the church, our families, and loved ones.

Guide our steps and shake the evil out of our days.

As Your Word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV, “Pray without ceasing.”

Help us to always follow what is good, rejoice evermore, and give thanks in everything,

for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflective Question:  “Are you lukewarm or on fire for your faith in Jesus Christ?”

May our living hope in Jesus Christ find you faithful,

Call to salvation:

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
