ePrayer Room: Broke as a Joke: All You Have is Hope
Life can be tough when you’re broke, but having hope can make all the difference. When we have faith in God, we know He will take care of us. The Bible teaches us to trust God even when times are hard.

In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus says, “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?… But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This means that if we put God first, He will provide for our needs.
Psalm 37:25 says, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” This verse reminds us that God takes care of His people, and we don’t have to worry about being left alone.
Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This verse shows that God has everything we need and will give it to us when we trust Him.
A real-world example of hope in tough times is Chris Gardner, the man whose story inspired the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness.” Gardner was once homeless and struggling to support his young son. Despite his hardships, he never lost hope. He worked hard, trusted in God, and eventually became a successful businessman and motivational speaker.
When you’re broke, remember to have hope and trust in God. He will take care of you and provide what you need.
