Inheritances From Daddies and Our Heavenly Father

Father’s Day is a special time to honor the incredible roles of both our earthly daddies and our heavenly Father. Fathers play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of their children, providing love, guidance, and support. Similarly, our Father in heaven offers us divine love, protection, and an eternal inheritance.

Daddies are often the first example of strength and stability that children encounter. Their presence and involvement in a child’s life significantly impact their emotional and psychological development. If your daddy is no longer for whatever reason. Your heavenly father is always. You have two daddies -earthly and God.

  • Proverbs 13:22 (KJV) states, “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” This scripture emphasizes the importance of a daddy’s righteous and faithful life, which brings blessings to his children.

Our heavenly Father also models perfect love and faithfulness.

  • In Romans 8:17 (KJV), we read, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” This verse highlights that as children of God, we are heirs to His kingdom, sharing in the inheritance with Christ. It underscores the significance of our relationship with the Father and the eternal blessings we receive through His love and faithfulness.

The role of a daddy involves providing for the physical and emotional needs of their children.

  • Ephesians 6:4 (KJV) instructs, “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” This guidance encourages daddies to nurture their children with love and discipline, fostering an environment where they can grow and thrive.

Likewise, our heavenly Father nurtures us spiritually, guiding us through His Word and the Holy Spirit.

  • Acts 20:32 (KJV) states, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” This verse reminds us of the consistent and unwavering goodness of our Father, who generously blesses us with perfect gifts.

The faithful love of both daddies and our heavenly Father provides a sense of security and identity for their children.

  • In Isaiah 54:17 (KJV), it is written, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” This verse draws a beautiful parallel between the compassionate love of a daddy and the tender mercies of our heavenly Father.

Moreover, our heavenly Father promises us a glorious inheritance.

  • Ephesians 1:11-14 (KJV) declares, “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

  • Additionally, 1 Peter 1:4 (KJV) affirms, “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” These scriptures emphasize the eternal inheritance that is ours through faith in Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us honor and appreciate the vital roles that daddies play in our lives and the incomparable love of our Father in heaven. By being faithful and loving, both daddies and our heavenly Father provide a strong foundation for us to grow, prosper, and embrace the eternal inheritance that is ours as children of God.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
