Letter From the Editor’s Desk; Building Up the Spirit By Increasing the Faith

Hello ePrayer Circle’s Tribe,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I’ve discovered something truly wonderful that I’d love to share with you all. Have you ever noticed how listening to Christian music can transform your mood and mindset? Personally, whenever I tune in to my ePrayer Circle playlist on YouTube, I feel an instant sense of focus and clarity, leaving behind stress and anxiety. But did you know that music isn’t just about praise? It’s also a powerful form of prayer when combined with scripture. In addition, Christian music increases our faith, heals our souls diseases, and detaches our souls from unholy spirits or influences?

Isaiah 55:11 KJV  “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

The Book of Psalms is essentially a collection of songs that are prayers and praise. Take, for instance, the timeless Psalm 23, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” There are countless songs inspired by this very scripture. Similarly, Psalm 34 has been set to music in various forms. These songs, among many others, serve as popular prayers set to melodies.

Jude 1:20-22 KJV 20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22And of some have compassion, making a difference:

As we journey together in our faith walk, it’s essential to reflect on the renewal of our spirits unto righteousness. Our faith is like a garden that needs constant nurturing to flourish, and one powerful way to tend to it is through the Word of God.

Psalms 51:10  “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

In the Bible, we learn that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 KJV). This means that as we immerse ourselves in Scripture, our faith is strengthened.

Music has a unique ability to touch our hearts and souls in profound ways. In the Bible, we find numerous instances where music is used to glorify God and bring healing. Just like how David played his harp to soothe King Saul’s distressed spirits  (1 Samuel 16:23), music has the power to uplift us and drive away distressing thoughts and feelings as well as unholy spirits.

1 Samuel 16:23 KJV  23And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Listening to uplifting, God-honoring music not only increases our faith but also serves as a balm for our soul diseases. When we allow the melodies and lyrics inspired by God’s truth to penetrate our hearts, we find healing from the wounds and burdens we carry.

romans 1017 “so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of god.”

Moreover, music has the power to cleanse our spirits from unclean influences. Just as David’s music drove away the distressing spirit from Saul, holy music has the ability to dispel darkness and bring in the light of God’s presence. God has commanded us to sing praise to him. It is good.  If you don’t know how to praise God in a holy way, read and study the Book of Psalms.  Get a copy of a good hymn book. Most of those songs are based on scripture.

Psalms 150:6 KJV  “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

So, dear friends, let us make a conscious effort to incorporate music into our spiritual practices on a daily basis. Whether it’s singing hymns, listening to Christian artists, or playing instruments, let’s use the gift of music to draw closer to God, increase our faith, and find healing and cleansing for our souls.  May the melodies of faith bring us closer to the heart of God and fill us with His peace and joy.

May Our Living Hope Find You Faithful,

Call to salvation

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
