Daily Word: The Teachings of Jesus Christ The Act of Love in Forgiving
Jesus taught many things during His time on Earth, but one of His most important teachings was about love.
In John 13:34, Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” This shows that love should be the foundation of all our actions. Another important teaching of Jesus is forgiveness.
In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus said, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” This teaches us the importance of forgiving others as we have been forgiven by God.
Lamentations 3: 22-25 KJV 22It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
