Hello ePrayer Circle’s Tribe,

I hope you enjoyed a great Labor Day holiday.  I spent mine at a family reunion dinner.  It was very nice to see people that I don’t see often.  Love is the word. As you get older you look around those rooms and there are going to be two or three missing every year.  Each year gets harder, especially if you grew up with them or knew them for over 20 years.  Some I shared a baby bottle with and others I gave a baby bottle to while babysitting.  I see their children and great-grandchildren. What a joy to see life.

Each of us went to a table and lit a candle for our loved ones who were not there.  It was a very solemn moment.  It was easier because my family are Christians who often express our love for each other and God.  I took consolation that the ones not present were with God.  When I see reports on TV about unexpected fires, natural disasters, or diseases that take out a lot of people at one time, I pray to God that they know Jesus so devastation does not turn into eternal devastation.

Today, I watched a few YouTube Christian Broadcasts on video that reported that more Muslims are converting to Christianity than in the last 1400 years. They claim most of these Muslims had dreams where Jesus appeared to them.  Another report from another channel reported more people are converting to the Baptist religion than any other Christian religion, especially in the West and they wanted to know what the reason was. I smiled and thought, “My brothers and sisters in Christ are doing a good job”.  People are thirsty for God because they look around and feel the way I did when I went to light a candle at the table.

John 15:2 KJV  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”

Mark 16:15 KJV  “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Have you learned the Gospel in order to share the good news of Jesus Christ?

I started thinking about why so many people are converting to Christianity and came up with many reasons. Why did you decide to be a Believer of Jesus Christ?

  • They are seeking spiritual fulfillment. Christianity offers a sense of purpose and meaning in life, as well as a community of believers to support them.
  • They are drawn to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died on the cross to save humanity from sin. His message of love, forgiveness, and hope is appealing to many people.
  • They are influenced by their family or friends. Many people convert to Christianity because they were raised in a Christian household or because they were influenced by Christian friends or mentors.
  • They are seeking a moral compass. Christianity offers a set of beliefs and values that can guide people’s lives. This can be especially appealing to people who are looking for a way to live a more ethical and fulfilling life.
  • They are experiencing a crisis or difficult time in their lives. Many people turn to Christianity during times of crisis or difficulty. They find comfort and support in the Christian community and in the belief that God is with them through whatever they are going through.
  • They have a supernatural experience directly with Jesus through an experience, dream, or vision. Many people experience miracles that they attribute to an answer to prayer through healing, provision, or protection.
  • Looking for eternal life with God in Heaven. They believe in Heaven and they are seeking the Kingdom of God for an eternal place for their souls.

It is important to note that not all people who convert to Christianity do so for the same reasons. Some people may have a combination of reasons, while others may have only one reason. Ultimately, the decision to convert to Christianity is a personal one that is made for individual reasons.

According to a 2015 Pew Research Center survey, the top reasons why people convert to Christianity are:

  • To find spiritual peace and fulfillment (38%)
  • To be closer to family and friends (29%)
  • To learn more about God (27%)
  • To be a better person (26%)
  • To have a sense of belonging (25%)

The life of Jesus Christ is the central focus of the Christian faith. Followers of Jesus Christ believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth to save humanity from sin and death. The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, and it is the message that Christians are called to share with the world.

The life of Jesus Christ is recorded in the four Gospels of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These Gospels tell the story of Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection. They also tell us about Jesus’ teachings and miracles.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in the Roman province of Judea, around 4 BC. He was born to a young woman named Mary, who was a virgin. Christians believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and that he is therefore both fully human and fully divine.

Jesus grew up in Nazareth, a small town in Galilee. He learned the trade of carpentry from his earthly father, Joseph. When Jesus was about 30 years old, he began his public ministry. He traveled throughout Galilee and Judea, preaching and teaching about the kingdom of God. He also performed many miracles, such as healing the sick, casting out demons, and raising the dead.

Jesus’ teachings were radical and challenging. He taught that God loves everyone, regardless of their social status or religious beliefs. He also taught that the kingdom of God is a place of love, justice, and peace.

Jesus’ miracles were a sign of his power and authority. They also showed that Jesus was the Messiah, the one who had been promised to the Jewish people.

Jesus’ death was a result of his conflict with the religious leaders of his day. They accused him of blasphemy and of claiming to be the Son of God. Jesus was arrested and put on trial by the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. Pilate found Jesus not guilty, but he was pressured by the religious leaders to have him crucified.

Jesus was crucified on a cross outside the city of Jerusalem. He died on the cross at about 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday.

On the third day after his death, Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection is the central event of the Christian faith. It is the proof that Jesus is the Son of God and that he has conquered sin and death.

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the message that Jesus came to earth to save humanity from sin and death. The gospel is the message of hope and salvation.

Christians are called to share the gospel with the world. They are called to tell others about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. They are also called to live their lives in a way that reflects the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

The life of Jesus Christ is a story of love, hope, and salvation. It is a story that has changed the world, and it is a story that continues to change lives today.  If you are not saved, please see the offer of Salvation Below.

A CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
