Daily Word: Why Do We Pray to the Father in Jesus Name? To Receive Forgiveness of Sins.
Salvation is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ and the belief that his death and resurrection makes it possible for individuals to be forgiven for their sins and gain eternal life.
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
One verse that speaks to the practice of praying to the Father in Jesus’ name is found in the John 16: 23-24 (KJV):
“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
When we pray to the Father, we should do so in Jesus’ name, and that the Father will grant our requests when we do so. Additionally, praying in this manner can bring us joy.
John 14:13-15 KJV 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

A CALL TO SALVATION:

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
