Most glorious Lord of Life on this day,
You did make, thy triumph over death and sin;
And, having harrowed hell, did take away
captivity for, us to win:
This joyous day, dear Lord, with joy begin;
Jesus, your precious blood washed away sin,
So we may live forever
And that thy love that we are not worthy,
teaches us to love you and others;
With love may we give to one another
So let us love, Love, life as we ought,
–Love is the lesson that the Lord has taught.
