The Gospel consists of the four books in the New Testament that gives the teachings of Jesus Christ, written by John, Luke, Mark, and Matthew.
Overview of the Gospel of Mark:
Mark “Mark John” is also known as “John” in the Book of Acts. He is not John the Baptist. Peter (disciple) was a mentor to Mark. Mark did not walk with Jesus but ministered under Peter. Peter called Mark, his son. Mark’s work was written in Italy around A.D. 50-70 before the Book of Acts. Mark’s work is referred to as the “Memoirs of Peter” because he was very close to the disciple Peter and listen to everything Peter said. The Gospel of Luke borrowed a lot of Mark’s notes.
The Gospel of Mark focuses on the miracles that Jesus performed while spreading his ministry in Galilee. Mark’s Gospel emphasizes Jesus Christ’s human nature, emotions, and limitations. *Note: This side of Jesus demonstrates that there aren’t any human conditions that he is not aware of and therefore his believers can know that he understands our problems and situations.

Summary of lesson five and lesson six
There is one message that is consistent in all three events in this chapter, Jesus healed people who believed in him. God (the Word) came in the flesh as the Son of God. They believed that he could heal them and it was so. That is the same requirement today. If you pray for yourself or someone else for anything within his will, believe he can and will do it. It is so important to read your bible so that you will know “the will” of God. Knowing this will help you develop a better relationship with God because you will know right from wrong and be able to agree with him in repentance. The Holy Spirit will help you with this as you mature in the spirit. No one can ask sincerely for forgiveness if they do not reveal to God they were wrong. Repentance is necessary.
Upon hearing of John the Baptist’s death, Jesus and the disciples went to the desert by ship. Mark 6:34KJV “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” As the day passed, the disciples told Jesus to send the people away so the people could go into the village to buy themselves food because they did not have much. Jesus told the disciples to feed the people. They had only 5 loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus blessed it. The disciples divided it among 5,000 people and after everyone was fed, there were 12 baskets of food leftover.
Jesus sent the disciples by ship to Bethsaida as he sent the crowds away. Later, the disciples were in a boat on the sea. They saw Jesus coming towards them walking on the sea. He got into the boat with them and they were astounded. Mark 6: 53- 56 KJV 53And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. 54And when they came out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55And ran through that whole region round about and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56And whithersoever, he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets and sought him that they might touch him, even if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Call to salvation
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
