The Gospel consists of the four books in the New Testament that gives the teachings of Jesus Christ, written by John, Luke, Mark, and Matthew. Apostle Luke, a Gentile and a physician, wrote this Gospel and the Book of Acts. Luke’s work is assumed to be written in AD 60-62 during the time disciple Paul was in jail.
His works were dedicated to Theophilus, a Roman dignitary. Luke gives an ordered account of the events of Jesus’s life but not necessarily in order. His primary research was eyewitnesses, disciples, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Luke gives many accounts of Jesus’s healing ministry because Luke was a physician himself.
Chapter 23 Overview of Luke Chapter 23: As Jesus was being nailed to the cross, Jesus raises his voice to God. 34Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do, all while others parted his raiment and cast lots. Jesus prayed for people who were persecuting and laughing at him. He knew his mission and how important it was to complete. Note: While you are alive, it is never too late to give your life to Jesus Christ.
A murder was chosen over Jesus Christ due to fear, politics, traditional religious laws, and ignorance. However, Jesus still forgave a criminal as well as his enemies that wanted his death in a cruel manner. However, it is clear by Jesus’ comments to the weeping women that the people of Jerusalem will reap what they sow. It is clear as a benefit of Jesus Christ dying, as the last and only needed blood sacrifice, his blood gives the forgiveness of sins until the end of the world.
Chapter 24: Overview of Luke Chapter 24:
This chapter tells the story of Jesus rising after his crucifixion. Luke 24: 1-7 KJV, and Luke 24: 46-52 KJV 1Now upon the first (Jewish) day of the week (Sunday), very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher.
3And they entered in and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Call to salvation
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
