It is Day 10 out of 45 days to study the Gospel. We are studying two lessons a day. If you did not start at day one, do not worry. Each lesson is self-contained and you can start anywhere. Please comment in the comment section of each lesson on the reflection questions or on our social media pages. The author and others will engage with you for sharing. It also supports these efforts. Take notes or copy lessons for later reviewing or sharing.

Chapter 19: This chapter tells of the events of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Pilate had Jesus scourged (whipped) and the soldiers platted a crown of thorns on his head. They put on him a purple robe. The Jews said to crucify Jesus. They had a law that said Jesus ought to die because he made himself the Son of God. John 19:17-19 KJV, And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull. Where they crucified Jesus and two others with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Chapter 20: This chapter tells of the events that led to Jesus being discovered as risen from the dead. In addition, Jesus proved to the disciples and the unbelieving disciple Thomas that he is real. Jesus gave proof of his resurrection by giving the disciples the Holy Ghost with his breathe. In conclusion, the reason John wrote down the miracles Jesus performed so that others will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Note: Previously, Jesus told the disciples, he would pray to the father to send the disciples the Holy Spirit. After the resurrection, Jesus gave the disciples the Holy Spirit Himself, showing a transformation in power. John 14:26 KJV “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
