It is Day 8 out of 45 days to study the Gospel. We are studying two lessons a day. If you did not start at day one, do not worry. Each lesson is self-contained and you can start anywhere. Please comment in the comment section of each lesson on the reflection questions or on our social media pages. The author and others will engage with you for sharing. It also supports these efforts. Take notes or copy lessons for later reviewing or sharing.

Chapter 15 : Overview of Chapter 15. Jesus continues to comfort and give directions to the disciples before his death. He reminds them to stay faithful and on the path. He is life. There is no greater love than his because he will lay down his life for his friends.
Chapter 16: Overview of Chapter 16. Jesus talks with the disciples telling them the hour has come for him to go unto the Father. They will be sad but on his return they will rejoice. Jesus tells his disciples of what is to come so they may have peace about it. He tells them that the world hates him and will hate them. They will be put out of churches and some killed by people who think they are doing a service to God. He speaks of the Holy Spirit and his purpose.
Jesus prays for the disciples and all believers. It is a famous prayer. Jesus (himself) states that Satan is the Prince of This world. Jesus does not refer to Satan as a God. Jesus also states that he was with the Father before the world was created. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
