Psalms 75: 6-7 6 6For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7But God is the judge: he putteth down one and setteth up another.
Habakkuk 2:2 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Jesus prayed to the father on the behalf of the disciples and all believers. John 17:17KJV “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Ephesians 4:25 “Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.”
1 John 2:4 “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth, not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
Proverbs 19:5 “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.”
Psalms 101:7 “He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.”
Proverbs 19:9 “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.”
James 3:8 “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
No man can contain the tongue. It is unruly. Repent and ask the Holy Spirit in prayer to help you if you find yourself lying or telling little white lies because every word will be judged. The Holy Spirit keeps us in check and helps us not to sin. We cannot do it alone. That is part of the gift of Salvation.
