Letter From The Editor’s Desk: Why Christians Should Not Celebrate Halloween (Devil and Pagan Holiday). Interview CBN and an Ex-Witch. It’s a Bad Idea
John 8:12 KJV “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
UPDATE: According to an article by WUSA9 2022, Unfortunately, not only is Halloween the single most dangerous day for young pedestrians, it’s 3-4 times more deadly than the rest of the year.
Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,
Introduction
Halloween is right around the corner, but before you start planning your costume or party, I urge you to consider the spiritual implications of this holiday.
As Christians, we are called to be separate from the world and its darkness. This includes avoiding practices that are associated with the occult or witchcraft. Halloween is a celebration of death and the spirits of the dead. It is a time when witches and warlocks perform their rituals and spells.
I am not saying that everyone who celebrates Halloween is involved in the occult. However, I do believe that we should be mindful of what we participate in and what we expose our children to.
If you are looking for a way to celebrate Halloween without compromising your faith, here are a few ideas:
- Have a fall festival with your family and friends. You can play games, eat candy, and enjoy each other’s company without the spooky elements of Halloween.
- Take your children to a church party where there are no costumes Many hold parties for children to wean them off of Halloween because they love candy.
- Host a movie night with your family and friends. Watch a biblically based movie and explain it. The Passion of Christ is great for Halloween, Illustrated 50 bible stories for kids on YouTube, or some other christian movie the family will enjoy.
Whatever you decide to do, please be mindful of the spiritual implications of Halloween. Choose activities that are in line with your faith and that will not expose you or your children to the darkness of the occult.
There is so much confusion going on in the world today that it is time to take your worship and praise life more seriously. Let’s Love our children and bless them. Give them candy at home (not Halloween candy) without costumes. They don’t need Halloween to eat candy because that is all they want. A great time to pray together. Make it fun. Let them hear you pray to God for them.
The Interview
There are many ex-devil worshippers who warn people of the evil done on Halloween. In the interview below, a young lady, Jenny Weaver, tells of her experiences with witchcraft that started at the age of 13 because she watched a movie, The Craft. A movie about teenage witches. Jenny was impressed with the power they had. She was in a Christian home but secretly learned witchcraft through books and other sources.
Note: People be mindful of what is allowed into your home in the way of entertainment: movies, books, pictures, and games. The most amazing thing is many Christians do not realize how this agreement gives demonic spirits legal rights to introduce you to darkness and possibly curse or live in your home.
The majority of the world normalizes the practices of the darkness and its products as insignificant. The majority is not always right.
Later, Jenny was afraid to close her eyes. She said people are asleep and not aware of how witchcraft is being normalized. It is very serious. She said many people are looking for a religion they can accept or receive other resources – healing items. They don’t know there is no other way except Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the healer and only savior. He is the light. People should not normalize anything that is associated with darkness. She said if you want to clean your house, don’t use crystals, sage, or burn anything – use Lysol and pray in the name of Jesus. She said the industry did a remake of “The Craft” in 2020. Real witches were brought on the set to cast spells on viewers.
Another ex-devil worshipper said that when you put a Halloween outfit on your children you are canceling their destiny set by God and changing their identity in God. It is a trick of Satan. You have to cancel that by praying to God and repenting in order to bring God’s plan and identity of your child back. Wow.
I won’t link to that interview but here is the title on YouTube: Take It from Someone Who Used to Talk to Satan: Halloween Is a Bad Idea. He is everywhere on YouTube as a born-again minister and Christian. I am not endorsing him. While researching for this post, I think the statement he made about dressing up kids for Halloween was something to share because it makes sense.
May the Truth and Grace of God be With You,
In the interview below, Jenny Weaver gives a prayer against unholy practices for anyone who has dealt in unrighteous practices knowingly or unknowingly (YouTube Transcript from video interview below).

Deuteronomy 18:9 KJV “When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.” 10 There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations, the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
