Jesus dying on the cross was a biblical prophecy. Jesus warned the disciples “The Hour Has Come” before it happened. As he was being crucified, people were mean of spirit and spoke ill to him. They also gambled Jesus’ clothes in front of him. They gave him vinegar for water and put a crown of thorns on his head. However, he said what nobody else would have in that situation. He asked God to forgive the men that were persecuting him. Jesus set the perfect example to love your enemies and pray for them. Luke 23:34 KJV “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”
Sometimes your enemies can be your brother and sisters in Christ or family. That is why we give our problems and troubling relationships to God and do not take them into our own hands. The reason is that you do not let the devil side-track you. That worldly spirit will use people and they don’t know they are being used to hurt others. Don’t play negative scenes in your head over and over until you are still mad the next day. Read scripture or listen to Holy music playlist and pray.
One example is that when people serve time in prison and it is their time to get out, the life-serving prisoners will fight them to obtain a criminal charge against them so they will not get out. Because they have no chance of getting out, they hate to see others get free. Sometimes, people are too competitive and lose sight of what is important. Therefore, they initiate dangerous competitive environments for others. Sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war – walk away, live, and forgive.
Jesus had a mission to offer salvation to the world and he did. John 6:38 KJV “For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
When Jesus rose from the grave and returned to his throne in Heaven, he could have wanted revenge and condemned the world but he did not. Those Jews paid for what they did by biblical prophecy and Jesus did not desert mankind. He knew the people were ignorant of what they were doing. They did not know the hate of Satan. Jesus knew Satan was trying to destroy God’s plan of giving forgiveness of sins by the blood of Jesus.
Prior to Jesus’ death, the Jews went to the priest once a year with animals for sacrifice for the atonement of sins. Now, anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior can just ask for forgiveness wherever they are, any time, day, or night. Jesus paid the price in full for us. Forgive, release that burden and live your life with focus and clarity. Get away from your past by not looking back. If you cannot forgive, ask God to help you with that. The Christian journey is to love each other even the ones that have hurt you. It is hard to do but that is how you get off the milk onto the meat – maturing in your faith.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJV 11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
