This is What Many Christian Leaders, Pastors, and Bishops Do Not teach.

They do not teach that God holds you responsible for the leaders you follow.

Congregations should hold their pastors and Christian leaders accountable for their lifestyles and scandals.

Matthew 15:14  “Let them alone: they be [sic] blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

Many followers do not hold their leaders accountable and they entertain false prophets or men not sent by God.  Many religious gatherings become more of a social club instead of a place to pray and worship God: John 12:43 43For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John 12:42 42Nevertheless, among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

John 12:43 43For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John 12: 44Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

John 12: 45And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me

John 12: 46I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

1John 2:4  4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5But who so keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The Characteristics of Leaders, “such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness…”   Exodus 18: 21 Moses father-in-law gives Moses advice.

Exodus 18: 19-27 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give you counsel, and God shall be with you: Represent the people before God, that you may bring the causes unto God:

20And you shall teach them ordinances and laws, and shall show them the way in which they must walk, and the work that they must do.

21Moreover, you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

22And let them judge the people at all times: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

23If you shall do this thing, and God command you so, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

24So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father-in-law, and did all that he had said.

25And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

26And they judged the people at all times: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

27And Moses let his father-in-law depart; and he went his way into his own land.

What are the leaders to teach?

Ezekiel 44:23  “And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.”

Call to salvation:

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
