Daily Word: Walking in God’s Purpose: Let Him Order Your Steps
Psalms 32:8 KJV “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

In our journey of faith, we often wonder about the purpose and direction of our lives. We seek assurance that our steps are ordered by God, leading us toward His purposeful plans. Proverbs 24:30-34 provides us with a vivid illustration of the consequences of neglecting God’s guidance and failing to pursue His purposes.
Proverbs 24:30-34, 30I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 31And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 32Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 33Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 34So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 24:30-34 paints a picture of a field and vineyard that were neglected, overgrown with thorns and nettles, and with broken-down walls. This imagery reflects the condition of a person’s life when they are slothful and lack understanding. The passage warns against the dangers of laziness and neglecting our responsibilities. It illustrates the importance of diligence and the consequences of ignoring God’s guidance in our lives.
As Christians, we are called to be diligent and faithful stewards of the life God has given us. We are to seek His guidance and allow Him to order our steps. When we follow God’s direction, our lives are aligned with His purpose, and we experience His blessings and provision.
Just as the field and vineyard Believer’s lives are in need of care and attention, our lives require intentional effort to cultivate and grow as God has planned. This is conscious living a life of prayer, praise, worship, and obedience.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
As we strive to live according to God’s purpose, let us seek His guidance in all that we do. Let us be diligent in our work, faithful in our service, and attentive to His leading. By allowing God to order our steps, we can be confident that our lives are fulfilling His purposeful plans.
Hosea 4:6 KJV “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
Are there areas of your life where I have been neglectful or lazy, failing to seek God’s guidance and follow His purpose for me?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
