Daily Word: Finding Wisdom in the Eternal Cycle of Life Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV Explained – Evidence of God
There is No New Thing Under The Sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV
The Sun is 4.5 billion years old according to NASA. Our God is all knowing, all wise and predestined. What’s too hard for man is not too hard for God. There is nothing God cannot do. There are no barriers to his powers – time and distance are not barriers. The earth glorifies him and the sea obeys him. How great is our God.
In the book of Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”This verse might sound a little confusing at first, but let’s break it down together.
Imagine you’re looking out at the world around you. You see people working, playing, laughing, and crying. You see the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. You see the seasons change from winter to spring, to summer, and then fall. Everything seems to happen over and over again, like a cycle that never ends.
That’s what this verse is talking about. It’s saying that the things we see and experience today are not new. They have happened before, and they will happen again. It’s like history repeating itself.
But why is this important to understand? Well, it teaches us something very valuable about life. It teaches us that there is wisdom in recognizing the patterns of life and learning from them.
In Proverbs 9:10 KJV “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”” This means that if we want to be wise, we need to start by respecting and revering God. We need to seek knowledge and understanding of Him and His ways.
So, when we realize that there is nothing new under the sun, we can find comfort in knowing that God is in control of all things. We can trust Him to guide us through the cycles of life and teach us valuable lessons along the way.
In conclusion, understanding that there is no new thing under the sun helps us gain wisdom by recognizing the eternal patterns of life and seeking knowledge of God. Let’s embrace this truth and allow it to lead us closer to Him.

John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
