No More Eye for Eye or Tooth for Tooth. The Lord Repays Evil
In the old testament, it was written: Exodus 21:24 “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,” However, Jesus changed that law to: “love your enemies” and “he (Jesus) will repay evil”.
Exodus 14:14 KJV “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Proverbs 20:22 KJV “Say not thou, I will recompense evil, but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.”
Matthew 5: 44 KJV 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Revelation 12:11KJV “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Deuteronomy 32:35 KJV “To me belongeth vengeance, and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.”
