It is so important we repent and pray that the Holy Spirit of God guide our tongues daily. When we slander and gossip about others, we are attempting to kill reputations. God considers a good name to be of value.
People who slander and gossip are as murderers and are worthy of judgement- death, which is Hell. However, the good news is that God forgives. Repenting with sincerity and truth is agreeing with God you are wrong. In turn, that leads to forgiveness. You can’t heal what you don’t reveal.
