Safety in the Lord : neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it comes. Job 5:15-27 KJV

In the Book of JOB, God’s servant suffered much as God allowed Satan to test Job’s faith. Satan claimed Job was only faithful because he was so well off.  The Lord said to test him but don’t take his life. Job was wealthy.  Suddenly, he lost everything. He just knew that he was on his deathbed because he became very ill.   People came to pray for him and to see if they could help but not one could.   One of Job’s friends, Eliphaz, reminded Job of who God is and God’s promises to those who keep the faith. He could not imagine a person could suffer who had not sinned and encouraged Job to accept his immortality and repent his sins. Even tho Eliphaz spoke wise words, Eliphaz did not know the plans of heaven for Job.  Job would be restored to more than before but his faith was being tested.  Just know God is always with you, just keep the faith.  Good people suffer too.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Job 5: 15-27 KJV

15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

16 So the poor have hope and iniquity stops her mouth.

17 Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

18 For he makes sore, and binds up: he wounds, and his hands make whole.

19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

21 Thou shalt be hidden from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it comes.

22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace, and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.

25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.

27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.

A CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
