Repentance and Love (KJV) 1John1:9
Repentance and Love
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Repentance is sincerely asking God for his forgiveness of our actions and speeches of sin. In addition, repentance is making a commitment to God to turn away from those same sins. Sin is when we deny grace, love, mercy, or Jesus Christ. If you have turned away from Jesus Christ, return. Accept the free gift of salvation.
Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the LORD of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1: 8-10 (KJV) 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Matthew 22: 35-40. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophet
Jesus stated that many of us sin because we do not know the scriptures nor the power of God. Study the Word.

Matthew 22:29-32 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise, joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repentant, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Before repenting makes sure you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can receive salvation by calling on the name of Jesus Christ, but to enter heaven you must be baptized. Get saved now, and find a church home, and get baptized.
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
John 3:3-8. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
To be saved you must confess with your mouth, Jesus Christ is Lord. To make it into heaven you need to be baptized, repent and do the will of God.
Below is an example of a simple prayer of repentance that I wrote. Always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Our father, which art in Heaven. I come before you in the mighty name of your son, Jesus Christ. I come before you with love, gratitude, fear, and thanksgiving. I come before you from a humble place and with a sincere heart. I ask the Holy Spirit to lead me in prayer so that I pray and worship you in spirit and truth. I ask the Holy Spirit to make intercession for me so that I pray for the things I need to pray for and the things I don’t know I ought to pray for. Father, Thank you for receiving me in your presence. I release any wrong feelings and attitudes that I have of anyone before you now.
I praise your Holy name Father in Jesus Christ’s name. You are the creator of heaven and earth and all life. You are holy, love, my hope, and trustworthy. I walk by faith and not by sight. You are my provider, healer, and protector. Thank you, Lord.
Father, I have sinned. It is written, 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I repent my sins of _______________________ (name your sins). I did this because ________________(Tell God WHY you committed this sin. Before we can grow in our relationship with God, we must be honest with him and ourselves. If you have the wrong perception of why you did or said something, God will reveal that to you. This is the GRACE to do better). Father, If there are any sins that I need to repent and don’t know I need to repent, please bring the sin(s) to my remembrance.
I have nothing to protect and nothing to defend except my love and servitude to you. Father allow me to stand in the gap for_______ (name persons you are praying for). I ask that they be shown their sins to repent. Lord, quicken their souls to do so. Please give them the grace to do better. Me and my house, we serve the Lord. This I ask in the Holy mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father be glorified in the son and the son be glorified in the father as one. Amen.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Psalm 138 King James Version (KJV)
138 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 In the day when I cried thou answered me and strengthened me with strength in my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
6 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respects unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revives me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Amen.
Below is the prayer Jesus taught the disciples when they asked him to teach them how to pray.
The Lord’s Prayer Matthew 6:9-13
9 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Psalm 100 King James Version (KJV)
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations.

CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
