Make Decisions That Are Legally and Morally Right. Have A Heart and Respect for Others
There are times we make decisions that are within our legal right but not morally right. A lot of young adults think they don’t have to discuss a lot of major decisions with their parents. However, if they did, they may not have to ask their parents for help later. It’s not the final decision that is so important. Its the lack of consideration that’s involved. Below, another example: Even though you can charge interest on loans, Jesus taught not to charge your brother (family) interest on a loan, food, or clothes.
However, you may charge others interest. Even though it is legal to charge interests on loans, it is not morally right for personal loans between family members or someone you consider to be family to charge interest for profit. If you are a person in charge of others, it is always a leader who can follow that is a leader who has the ability to lead. Even though you may have the right to boss others, do so with other’s dignity in mind. Don’t factor in other’s looks, age, social status, or intelligence to be harsher than normal.
Deuteronomy 23:20 20Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury (interest); but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest (settles) thine hand to in the land whither thou goes to possess it.
Luke 10:27-28 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
