Love to repentance
Jesus was found in the company of sinners, conversing and teaching, in order to offer them salvation. The Lord wants all believers to teach salvation to others. When you share the word of God with an unbeliever who accepts salvation or a sinner who returns to God, you have made friendships that will last for eternal life.
Luke 16:9 refers to the righteous converting sinners so that when you fail they will help you, and when you go into the kingdom of God they will be there to meet you at the gate. Therefore, you will have made friends for eternality. Note: This does not mean making friends with people who will turn you from God or make you fall. Jesus was not accepted by everyone and neither will you. Respect boundaries. Pray to God about the people that you meet. He is the counselor.
Luke 16: 13No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Note: Mammon is another name for the devil or Satan.
Luke 5: 29-32 29And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 30But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? 31And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need, not a physician; but they that are sick. 32I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 16:9 9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. Note: Make to yourselves friends of the mammon refers to converting sinners to Christ. Therefore, they become your sisters and brothers in Christ.
