Letter From the Editor’s Desk: Is Jesus God? The Humanity and Divinity of Jesus Christ

So many people love God and try to explain the Christian faith, many just joined and others: read the internet, books, research and strange doctrines. However, the biggest debate is whether people believe Jesus is the Son of God and is He God? Did Jesus actually die for our sins?  Today, I explain who Jesús is in his humanity and Divinity with scripture.  It is up to you to Believe.

The humanity and divinity of Jesus is one of the most important and central doctrines of Christianity.  Jesus is both God and Son of God.  Simply, God (The Word) reproduced himself, came down from heaven into human flesh as the Son of God, offering himself as a one-time offering for sin for all times so that we may one day walk with him in heaven.

John 1:18 KJV “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”

John 1:14 KJV “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The flesh is what makes Jesus the Son of God. Jesus came from God’s bosom-born of God. Jesus existed in Heaven as the Word, God and Creator before he was born (begotten) of the woman, Mary.  Jesus had God in him as He walked the earth in the flesh. Jesus on earth often prayed to his higher self – God, The Father.  Days after his crucifixion (death on the cross), Jesus ascended back to his throne. He and God are One.

Jesus existed as The Word, The Creator and God before being born as the Son of God.

John 1:1 KJV 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Luke 10:18 KJV “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

John 8:58 KJV  “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 1: 10-14 KJV  10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Remember, God can be in more than one place at one time. He is omnipresent (present everywhere all the time) and omnipotent (all powerful). Revelation 19:6KJV

“And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thundering, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns.”

Jeremiah 23:24 KJV  “Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.”

The Word existed with and as God, the Creator before being born from the bosom of God as Jesus Christ (translated in English) the image of the invisible God. Who is head of the church and all fulness dwell.

Colossians 1:14-20 KJV  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

GOD IS LOVE

The Bible teaches us about the humanity of Jesus in many ways. Jesus was born of a woman, Mary, and Jesus grew up as a human being.

He experienced all of the joys and sorrows of human life, including hunger, thirst, pain, and death. Jesus also lived a sinless life.

He never sinned, even though he was tempted in every way that we are tempted.

The Bible also teaches us about the divinity of Jesus in many ways. Jesus claimed to be God. He said, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30KJV).

Jesus also performed miracles, which are signs of divine power. He healed the sick, raised the dead, and controlled the natural elements.

Jesus is not just a great teacher or a wise man. He is the Son of God, who came to earth to save us from our sins.

Jesus was human, just like we are. He experienced all of the joys and sorrows of human life.  Jesus is born of God and has God in him.

Jesus is The Word  (God and Creator)  that became Flesh. Jesus existed as the Word with God and as God before coming to earth.

John 1:14 KJV “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

This is the reason why we MUST accept Jesus as the Son of God because that is accepting the blood sacrifice for our sins.  Our sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus.

It is the reason we pray in Jesus’s name.  We pray to God in the name of Jesus to present ourselves pure and holy and without sin.

God hates sin that is why he sent Jesus to reconcile us back to him.  Jesus paid the price for our sins.

If you reject Jesus there is no atonement of sins.  It is important to know and understand the identity of Jesus in relation to God, the Creator

and the Father as one, so you will know the will and power of God.  God is love.  It is helpful in studying the bible and in your Christian Journey as a Believer of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Hebrews 10:10 KJV “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

The humanity and divinity of Jesus is complex and important.  Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God,

who came to earth to save us from our sins and reconcile us back to God by the completed work of the cross-The Crucifixion.

Christians subscribe to the Trinity (3):  The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are one.  1 John 5:7 KJV “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:   and these three are one.”  This belief is the foundation of the Christian hope.

Repentance

In conclusion:  Jesus is the Son of God (flesh). Jesus is God (the Word). He is the Word that became Flesh. The Father and Son are One.

Jesus, The Word, came from the bosom of God and was born of a woman.

Jesus actually died for our sins because he was prophesized and predestine to do so. There were witnesses of his birth, death and resurrection.

There were disciples and others that saw and spoke to Jesus after the crucifixion. There are many records of his life.

If Jesus had not died on the cross and rose again to be Savior of the World, we would not have forgiveness of sins with repentance.

We would not be able to testify of the many mercies and benefits that Jesus has afforded us through Salvation in our lives today.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God loves you.  Please see offer of salivation below if you have not accepted God as your Lord and Savior. Accept him right now.  May the peace of God be with you.

Colossians 2:_8-12 KJV    8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
