Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,
In church on Sunday, I celebrated with the young people going back to school. They were so full of life and love. I prayed that they would keep that ambitious, innocent thirst and love for Jesus as they go through life and experience ups and downs. Then I pondered on the many challenges they may face, and other believers, in following the commands of Jesus Christ. I want to discuss the 4 biggest challenges people have following the commands of Jesus Christ when they don’t let the Holy Spirit have his way. Then I will give 5 biblical guides that will help overcome these challenges.
Some of the biggest challenges include:
- Living a holy life. Jesus called us to live holy lives, which means living in a way that is pleasing to God. Obeying God. This can be difficult, especially in a world that is full of sin and temptation.
- Denying ourselves. Jesus also called us to deny ourselves, which means putting the needs of others before our own. This can be difficult, especially when we are used to putting ourselves first.
- Loving our enemies. Jesus called us to love our enemies, which means showing kindness and compassion to those who have hurt us or wronged us. This can be difficult, especially when we are angry or hurt.
- Persecution. Jesus warned us that we would face persecution for following him. This persecution can take many forms, including verbal abuse, social ostracism, and even physical violence.
Below are 5 biblical guides that will help you overcome challenges of following Jesus Christ.
- Prayer and Praise. Prayer is a powerful tool that can help us to overcome challenges. When we pray, we are asking God for help and guidance. We ask the Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf. Praise strengthens our spirits.
- Repent and Confess your sins to God. When you confess your sins, God forgives you and gives you the power to overcome sin in your life because we trust in God.
- Servicing and Duty – Keeps us from being selfish and remembers our blessings.
- Studying the Bible. The Bible is full of wisdom and guidance that can help us to overcome challenges. When we study the Bible, we learn more about God and his character.
- Fellowship with other believers. Being in fellowship with other believers can provide us with support and encouragement. When we are around other believers, we are reminded that we are not alone in our struggles.
John 16:33 KJV “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Can you remember a time when facing temptation you called on the name of Jesus and was release from it at that moment. Tell us about it in the comments- Witness to the Glory of God and how he helps us to over come evil.
We over come evil by the words of our testimony (Jesus is Lord over my life forever) and the blood of the Lamb (Plea the blood of the Holy lamb of God. The Holy blood of the Holy Jesus Christ.)
I’ll keep praying, praising, studying the Bible, and trusting in God. I pray you do the same.
May the Grace and Truth of God Be With You.

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
