Letter From the Editor: Community, Faith, and the Power of Togetherness
Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,
I am so glad the elections are over—the hype was becoming overwhelming. However, I have been truly impressed with how the Christian community has come together to discuss their choices through the lens of faith. For a while, it felt like there was a silence we could hardly bear. The United States is a nation built on Christian values, rooted in the Word of God. Our beliefs in community, sharing, and keeping God first have helped make the U.S. one of the most powerful countries in the world.
While it’s important to respect different perspectives, the core message remains: people want safety, provision, and transparency from their government. No amount of celebrity endorsements, AI-generated campaigns, or carefully crafted speeches can replace the truth that’s hidden in plain sight. People are not easily fooled because they have a sense of right and wrong. We know Jesus.
So, let’s talk about community.
Community is more than just gathering together; it’s a bond, rooted in love and strengthened by faith. Jesus taught us that the two greatest commandments are these: (Matthew 22:37-39 KJV) Thy shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Our relationships in the church, with family, and in our communities are all reflections of these laws. This love calls us to be there for each other, to support one another in times of joy and hardship, and to be one in mind and spirit.
Hebrews 10:25 KJV “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Jesus reminds us that true fellowship is built in truth and love. Our words should reflect His love, speaking life into each other’s hearts, singing psalms, and giving thanks to God.
We are encouraged in Ephesians 5:19 KJV “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”
Sharing this kind of fellowship means we are open, confessing to each other, lifting each other up, and letting our conversation be filled with hope. Therefore, don’t isolate yourself because we grow through our relationships.
Proverbs 27:17 KJV “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
Many of us know how essential community can be. Imagine the support needed during a blackout, a storm, or even civil unrest. When the world feels uncertain, having a community to rely on can make all the difference. In those times, communities become places of shelter, where we can barter resources, share supplies, and offer a helping hand.
People gather to share warmth, food, and encouragement, keeping faith alive even in dark times. A strong community, based on love and support, is crucial. A disastrous event could happen and the government may not be available to help. FEMA experienced a financial problem during a very bad hurricane for some states. I think something was worked out later but it was not right away.
It is my wish that for 2025 that believers keep the community strong with voice, love and faith even in the face of uncertainty.
We are also warned in 2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV to “come out from among them, and be ye separate with the Lord and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” As Christians, we must keep our fellowship pure, focused on Christ, and avoid engaging in ways that pull us from God’s truth. Being “in the world” but not “of the world” means we don’t align ourselves with darkness. Instead, we are to be light, standing apart by our love, kindness, and humility.
In times of need, community reminds us of God’s blessings. If you have ever received a meal from a neighbor, borrowed a tool from a friend, or leaned on a fellow believer for strength, you know what it means to be blessed by the love of others. These acts may seem simple, but they reflect God’s love working through us. When we live this way, we uphold His commandments – loving Him and each other with all our hearts. It is my hope in
In these challenging times, let’s hold close to our community in Christ, love one another, and stay strong in faith. Let’s be ready to help and encourage each other, walking together in light and love. The love we share in our fellowship is a powerful witness to the world, and God’s promise to be with us is sure.
How can we, as a community, uphold our values and support one another in truth and love, especially during times of change?
May Our Living Hope in Jesus Christ Find You Faithful,
Angela Clark, M.Ed.

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
