Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,

As I observed the unsettling news of other countries deploying nuclear weapons, the growing crisis of homelessness, the congestion issues in NYC, the absence of a government-set budget accompanied by massive spending, and the struggles of disabled individuals in need of financial relief, I couldn’t help but reflect on the root cause of these problems—disagreements, both among nations and, perhaps more fundamentally, with God’s teachings.

Looking back on my own life, I recognized instances where my choices aligned with or deviated from God’s words. Some agreements were conscious, while others went unrecognized at the time. In every circumstance where I aligned with God, I found strength and resilience.

In life, the significance of agreement emerges as a theme. From the moment Adam and Eve shared that tempting apple, to Ruth’s noble choices that safeguarded her people, and even to the angels cast out of Heaven for siding with Satan, the profound impact of agreements resonates throughout the grand story of existence.

Let’s talk about  how Jesus takes agreement seriously, emphasizing the significance of choosing friends and spouses wisely, aligning our hearts with God’s Word, and understanding the consequences that follow.

1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV  “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

The Apple of Agreement: Long ago in a garden filled with wonders, Adam and Eve faced a choice. They stood at the tree, the serpent whispered, and in agreement, they took a bite of the forbidden apple. This moment changed everything.

The consequences of their agreement rippled through generations, teaching us that the choices we make, especially with those we hold dear, can shape our destinies. Jesus, knowing the weight of such agreements, urges us to be mindful of our choices and the company we keep.

Ruth’s Noble Agreement: In another tale of agreement, we find Ruth, a woman of noble character. Her agreement was not with a tempting fruit but with her mother-in-law Naomi.

Ruth chose to stand by Naomi’s side, declaring, “Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge.” This agreement led to bravery, love, and a destiny-altering journey. Ruth’s story teaches us that agreements built on loyalty, love, and selflessness can be a force for good, not only in our lives but in the lives of others.

Heaven’s Disagreement: In the celestial realm, a different agreement unfolded. Satan, once an angel of light, led a rebellion in Heaven. His friends joined the dissent, and together they were cast out. This heavenly disagreement emphasizes the consequences of agreements that oppose God’s will.

It serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us that agreements contrary to God’s Word lead to separation and loss. Jesus, ever desiring our well-being, warns against agreements that distance us from the goodness and grace of God.

Choosing Friends Wisely: As we navigate life’s journey, the importance of choosing friends wisely becomes clear. The friends we walk with can influence our decisions, dreams, and destinies. Jesus, our eternal friend, teaches us the value of friendships that align with God’s Word.

Proverbs 13:20KJV says, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” The lesson is clear – surround yourself with friends who uplift, encourage, and share in agreements that honor God.

The Marriage Covenant: When it comes to the most intimate agreement – marriage – Jesus provides guidance. In Matthew 19:6, KJV  He says, “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Marriage, a sacred covenant, involves a profound agreement.

Choosing a life partner wisely, one who shares your values and commitment to God, is essential. A marriage founded on Godly principles becomes a testament to the strength of agreement in the journey of life.

Agreement with God’s Word: Ultimately, the most crucial agreement is the one we make with God’s Word. Aligning our lives with the teachings of Jesus is a foundation for wise choices and fruitful living. In Psalm 119:105, we find, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

When we agree with God’s Word, we navigate life with wisdom, guided by the eternal principles of love, justice, and grace. When we disagree with God’s word we should ask for forgiveness in order to not enter into a reproach mind which is in agreement with Satan.

Conclusion: The threads of agreement weave a narrative that echoes through time. From the garden to the heavenly realms, from the loyalty of Ruth to the cautionary tales of misguided choices, the theme is clear: agreements matter.

Jesus, our guide and friend, calls us to make choices aligned with His Word, to choose friends and spouses wisely, and to understand the consequences of our agreements.

As we journey through life, may we echo Ruth’s noble declaration, choosing the path of love, loyalty, and alignment with God’s eternal truths. In the footsteps of Jesus, let our agreements be a source of blessing, joy, and eternal significance.

May Peace Be With You,

CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
