Sometimes a person’s faith is in tact but often they get too busy to pray as much as they should. Most people are guilty of slacking on praying with and for their children, parents, spouses, significant others, relatives, friends, leaders, neighbors, co-workers and perfect strangers.  In addition, many slack praying over our food, homes, finances, jobs, health and relationships.

Many celebrities speak on how they keep going under pressure and admis criticism. They keep journals and scrap books or scrap boxes of their fans photos, letters and comments because these things lift their spirits.

They review them when they are under pressure and facing negative rumors that are publicized around the world.  Their fan journals and scrap books are reminders of the value they are offering to others. Many claim that keeps them going.  They perform for these type of fans.

It is the same with everyone, when we are around people who lift our spirits, we keep going. This is called a support system.  There is one support system that is always around even when you don’t think so.  It is our God in Jesus Christ, so remember, and be grateful.

How do we remember?  Start a gratitude or mindful journal, diary, scrapbook or scrap box of things you’ve enjoyed: trips, birthday parties, concert tickets, weddings, children, vacations, awards, children being born, etc….  Don’t leave all your pictures on line (security) have a backup.  These are treasures.

Change your spirit and belief system with spiritual practices.  Slow down and start a daily morning ritual of at least 15 minutes that include the following:

  • Get up a little early and pray with thanksgiving and gratitude.
  • Thank God for at least three things he has done for you the day before, even the small things.
  • Repeat scriptures you have memorized that encourage you in the Lord or scripture that praises God.
  • In addition, praise him with a song (hymn) after you pray, even when you don’t feel like it because then you will feel like it.  This practice will become additive when you begin to see changes or small miracles in your life.

Filling your life with a daily prayer life that expresses praise, gratitude and  scripture will change your spirit and open you up to supernatural guidance. It takes effort on your part.   The most successful people in the world know that what you believe dictates the quality of your life. This is also a basic principle of the bible.

Isaiah 41:10 KJV “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Matthew 17:20KJV  “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

PSALMS 100

1(A Psalm of praise.) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
