ePrayer Room: Smile and Be Happy. Trust God.
A smile is more than just an expression. It can lift our mood and the moods of those around us. When we smile, our brain releases chemicals that make us feel good. It’s like giving our mind a happy boost! Smiling can also reduce stress and help us feel calmer. When we feel anxious or worried, a simple smile can help us relax and feel more positive.
Trusting in God
The Bible tells us that we don’t need to worry because God cares for us. In Matthew 6:27-30 KJV, Jesus says, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” This means we should focus on today and trust God for tomorrow. When we trust God, we can let go of our worries and find joy in His care.
Romans 15:13 KJV says, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Trusting in God fills us with joy and peace, helping us to smile even in difficult times.
The Story of Paul and Silas
One powerful Bible story about finding joy in tough times is the story of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25-26 KJV. Paul and Silas were put in prison for sharing about Jesus. Even though they were in a hard place, they prayed and sang songs to God. They chose to be joyful despite their situation. As they sang, there was an earthquake, and the prison doors opened! Their joy and faith brought them freedom.
How to Smile More
To smile more and feel happier, start by thinking about good things. Philippians 4:8 KJV says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Focus on the good in your life and thank God for His blessings. Spend time with people who make you happy, and do things that bring you joy.
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV reminds us to “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Trusting God helps us smile because we know He is guiding us.
Conclusion
Smiling and being happy are choices we can make every day. By trusting in God and focusing on the good, we can chase away stress and anxiety. Remember Paul and Silas, who found joy even in prison. Like them, we can sing praises to God and find happiness in His love. So, smile and be happy, knowing that God is with you every step of the way.
Psalms 28:7 KJV says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” Let this be our reminder to trust in God and find joy in His presence.

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
