The bible verses below teach us that parents should raise their children in a loving and nurturing environment, and that they should teach them about God and His ways. They also teach us that parents should be patient and understanding with their children, and that they should discipline them with love. Most of all pray for children so that God can guide them in their spiritual growth.
- Ephesians 6:4: “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
- Colossians 3:21: “Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.”
- Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
- Deuteronomy 6:6-7: ” 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.””
- 1 Timothy 3:4-5: “He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)”
-
Ephesians 4:32 KJV “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
In addition to these specific verses, the Bible also provides many general principles that can be applied to parenting. For example, the Bible teaches that we should love our children (John 3:16), show them compassion (Ephesians 4:32), and forgive them (Colossians 3:13). It also teaches that we should be patient (Galatians 5:22), kind (Ephesians 4:32), and gentle (2 Timothy 2:24) with them.
By following the principles taught in the Bible, parents can raise their children to be God-honoring adults.
Dear God,
I lift up my sons and daughters to You today. I pray for their safety, their health, and their happiness.
I pray for their spiritual growth and their success in all that they do.
I know that Amen.they are facing many challenges in today’s world.
There are many temptations and dangers that they must face.
But I trust that You will be with them and that You will guide them through it all.
I pray for them to be wise and discerning.
I pray for them to have the strength to resist temptation and to choose what is right.
I pray for them to be kind and compassionate, and to love others as You love them.
I also pray for them to have a deep faith in You.
I pray for them to know Y and that you use them for your glory.
I pray in In Jesus Christ’s name. Amen

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
