ePrayer Room: Prayer For the Safety and Unity of the Nation
Let Us Pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your divine protection and unity for our nation, the United States of America. We thank You for Your abundant blessings and mercy.
Your word tells us in Psalm 91:2, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” We place our trust in You, Lord, and ask for Your refuge and fortress over our land.
Lord, we pray for the safety of every citizen, from the youngest to the oldest. In these uncertain times, we seek Your shield and protection. As Psalm 46:1 KJV reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” We ask that You be a present help to all who are in distress, guiding them to safety and peace.
We also pray for unity, Lord. In John 17:21, Jesus prayed, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” Father, help us to be united in love, purpose, and faith. Let Your love bind us together, overcoming division and strife.
Grant our leaders wisdom and discernment to govern righteously, in accordance with Your will. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
