Praise Sunday: ePrayer Asking God for Protection of Schools and Wisdom for Our Nation’s Leaders – Song – The Lords Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come to You with heavy hearts, lifting up the children and families affected by the recent school shootings. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over all schools and students across this nation. Shield them from harm and cover them with Your loving arms. We pray for healing and comfort for those who are grieving, and for peace to settle over every heart. It is written:
Romans 12:19 KJV “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” We know Lord that you are the God of recompass.
Father, we also lift up the leaders of this nation. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage to make decisions that are in line with your word and will. Guide them to promote peace and safety for all. Guide them to lead justly and with compassion, seeking the well-being of every citizen.
In Jesus Christ’s mighty name, we pray. Amen.
