Daily Word: The Lord Shall Help You and Deliver You.
Psalms 37:39-40 KJV 39But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
These verses tell us that God saves good people. He gives them strength when they are in trouble. God will help and protect them from bad people because they trust in Him.
Let’s look at a Bible story that shows this. Remember the story of Daniel in the lion’s den? In Daniel 6, Daniel was a good man who prayed to God every day. Some men were jealous of Daniel and tricked the king into making a law that said people could only pray to the king. But Daniel kept praying to God. The king had to follow the law and put Daniel in a den of lions. The king was very sad because he liked Daniel. He told Daniel that he hoped God would save him.
That night, the king couldn’t sleep. He worried about Daniel. Early the next morning, he ran to the lion’s den and called out to Daniel. Daniel answered that God had sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths. He was safe because he trusted in God.
This story shows how God helps and saves those who trust in Him. Like Daniel, we should trust God, especially in times of trouble. God is our strength, and He will help and protect us. When we trust in God, He will deliver us from the wicked and save us. Let us remember to put our trust in God every
