Daily Word: The Grace of God and the Covering of Sin. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
Despite our sin, God offers us grace and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 2:8-9, it says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” This means that we are saved not by our own efforts but by God’s grace, which is a free gift.
Another example of God’s grace is found in 1 John 1:9, which says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This shows that God is willing to forgive us if we confess our sins and turn away from them.
