Daily Word Let Us Reason and Extend Grace to Our Sisters and Brothers in Jesus Christ
Isaiah 1:18 KJV says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” This verse tells us that God wants to talk with us. He wants to help us change our ways and forgive our sins. It shows that God is ready to clean our hearts, no matter how bad we think our sins are.
Let’s think about a Bible story that shows this idea. Remember the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10? Zacchaeus was a tax collector. Many people didn’t like him because he took more money than he should have. But Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus.
So, he climbed a tree to see over the crowd. When Jesus saw him, He told Zacchaeus to come down because He wanted to stay at his house. The people were surprised that Jesus would spend time with someone like Zacchaeus. But Zacchaeus was happy and welcomed Jesus gladly.
While at Zacchaeus’ house, he told Jesus that he would give half of his money to the poor and pay back anyone he had cheated four times the amount. Jesus then said, “Today salvation has come to this house.”
This story shows that Jesus gave Zacchaeus a chance to change. He didn’t judge him but extended grace and forgiveness. Like Zacchaeus, we should also show grace to our sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ. We should help them change for the better, just like God helps us. When we reason together with love and kindness, we can help each other grow closer to God. Let us remember to extend grace, forgive, and help each other, just as God does for us.

Call to salvation:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
