Daily Word: Don’t Be Fooled: Standing Strong in God’s Love Against the Enemy’s Lies
Don’t Be Distracted by the Enemy
The Bible teaches us that the enemy, Satan, tries to deceive and pull us away from God’s love. He uses lies and fear to make us doubt God’s promises. But God’s Word shows us how to resist and stay close to Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6 KJV).
A powerful story in the Bible shows us how deception works. In Genesis, the serpent tricked Eve by twisting God’s words. The serpent told Eve that if she ate the forbidden fruit, she would become like God. But that was a lie, and eating the fruit led Adam and Eve away from the joy and safety they had in God’s presence.
Satan wants to lead us into confusion and away from God, just as he did with Adam and Eve.
But we don’t have to be afraid. Romans 8:1 KJV says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” This verse means that if we believe in Jesus and follow Him, we are no longer condemned by our sins. We are forgiven! Jesus’ Spirit helps us to live in freedom, away from shame and guilt.
Romans 8:26-28 KJV also encourages us by telling us that the Holy Spirit helps us when we are weak. Sometimes we don’t even know what to pray for, but the Spirit prays for us in ways that words can’t express. God’s Spirit knows what we need and prays for us according to His will.
Romans 8:26-28 KJV 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8: 38-39 KJV 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We can have confidence that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:38-39 KJV tells us that not even death, life, angels, or powers can take us away from Jesus’ love. When we stay in Jesus, we are forever protected and loved.
Deuteronomy 28:7 KJV “The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”
So, don’t let the enemy deceive you! Stay close to Jesus and trust in His promises. Remember, there is no condemnation for those who follow Christ. No matter what happens, God’s love is with us, working everything for good.

CALL TO SALVATION
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
